Margaret "Peggy" Sullivan

Margaret “Peggy” Sullivan, 94, of Logansport passed away on Sunday, April 29, 2023, at the McKinney Place in Logansport.

Born on February 4, 1929, in Peru, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary (Murphy) Weis. 

She was a 1946 Peru High School graduate. 

On February 7, 1953, she married her high school sweetheart,  Stephen M. Sullivan. After 64 years of marriage he preceded her in death on June 26, 2017.

She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church and the Ladies Society.  Peggy was also a former member of Indiana Farm Bureau and a leading member of the Indiana Gourd Society.  Peggy along with her husband, Steve enjoyed raising and selling sweet corn and pumpkins at their roadside stand as well as with the Logansport Farmer’s Market.

Survivors include her children, Maureen A. Sullivan of Marshall, Minnesota and Rion P. Sullivan of Okeechobee, Florida, brother, Charles Weis of Detroit, Michigan and sister, Julie Volpert of Lafayette.

She was also preceded in death by sister, Betty Weis.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 15, 2023, at All Saints Catholic Church.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass in the Hall of Saints.

Burial will follow at Ever Rest Memorial Park.
