Larry Glenn Dodt, 83, of Royal Center passed away at 1:15 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2020 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on September 1, 1937 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Elbert and Hilda (Kruse) Dodt.
On February 26, 1956 he married Norma Jean Peed, she survives.
Larry graduated from Royal Center High School in the class of ’55. He was a lifelong resident of Royal Center, a farmer and livestock hauler. He survived cancer for 39 years.
He loved traveling, horses, and spending time with friends, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Dodt of Royal Center, son, Gary E. (Kimberly) Dodt of Otisco, Indiana, daughter, Sherry (Curt) Muller of Kalamazoo, Michigan, sister, Beverly (Don) Hatton of Logansport, grandchildren, Zachary (Deidra) Dodt, Lauren (Brandon) Campbell, D.J. Stoner, Nicholas (Lindsey) Muller, Shane (Kendra) Muller and Victoria (Joel) Simmons and nine great grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by sister, Delores Gibson.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center.
Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Sunday.
Burial will follow at Kistler Cemetery.
Friends may gather at Rogers Event Center, 109 West North St., Royal Center following the services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
