Obituary
John T. Oehlert, 77, of Logansport passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021 at St. Vincent’ Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born on September 19, 1944 in Houma, Louisiana, he was the son of the late John F. and Nettie (Shoemaker) Oehlert.
John was a U.S. Navy veteran.
He retired from Elco. John enjoyed gun collecting and spending time with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Oehlert, his children, Allison Oehlert, David Oehlert, Chris Downs, Kado Downs, Angle Cooper and James Gross.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Johnny Oehlert.
A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
