William E. Lytle, Sr.

March 22, 1927 — July 6, 2015

William E. Lytle, Sr., 88, of Logansport passed away at 8:50 p.m., Monday, July 6, 2015 at Chase Center in Logansport.

Born on March 22, 1927 in Logansport, he was the son of the late James William and Iva (Button) Lytle.

He was a 1945 Twelve Mile High School graduate.

On January 14, 1956 he married Wilma Reinholt, she survives.

Bill was a Railroad Trainman on the Pennsylvania Railroad- Penn Central and Conrail Railroad for 43 years retiring in 1989.

He was a member of Tipton Lodge #33 F&AM, Scottish Rite and Mizpah Shrine in Ft. Wayne.  He was also a member of the Logansport Moose.  Bill enjoyed playing music and played for many years in numerous bands.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Lytle of Logansport, daughters, Linda Lytle of Walton and Suzanne Suter (Tony) of Logansport, sons, William Lytle, Jr. (Paula) of Logansport, James Lytle (Kim) of Royal Center, Thomas Lytle (Jane) of Royal Center and Richard Lytle (Melissa) of Logansport.  He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

He was also preceded in death by one infant son, brothers, Harlan Lytle, James Lytle and Lowell Lytle and sister, Retha Lytle Pearson.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 10, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., Thursday, July 9, 2015 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Burial will be at Pisgah Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Children’s Hospital.
