William V. Huff

Services for William V. Huff, 86, Colorada Springs, Colorado will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Marocco Funeral Chapel.

He died at 6:30 a.m., Saturday, March 10, 2007, in the Garden of the Godchr(39)s Care Center in Colorado Springs.

Born December 4, 1920, in Beattyville, Kentucky, he was the son of the late James E. and Maggie (Maloney) Huff.  He was married December 20, 1941, to Martha M. Green, who prceded in death March 12, 1999.  He was married April 20, 2002, to Edith R. Gross, who preceded in death November 26, 2005.

Mr. Huff was an oiler for Rockwell Standard in Logansport for 33 years, retiring in 1983.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as private first class in the 90th Quartermaster Company.  He earned the European Theater Ribbon and two Bronze Stars.

He was a member of the Logansport Eagles, the VFW Post 3790 and the American Legion Post 60.

He enjoyed fishing and collecting eagles and ,being a strong Democrat, also collected donkeys.

He and his wife, Martha, were very active in the Cass County Democrat party for many years.

William was in the Indiana Soldiers and Sailers Childrenchr(39)s Home in Knightstown and attended school there.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church in Logansport.

Surviving are one daughter, Patricia Ridley, Colorado Springs, Colorado and her children, Mark Ridley and his daughter; Brandi Abair and her husband, Paul, and their children, Jesse, Austin and Devon, all of Monument, Colorado; Diana Vincent and her husband, Matt, and their children, Syrus and Chase, Georgia; one son, Michael Huff and his wife, Dot, and their children, Kaitlen and Jacob, Lebanon, Kentucky;  Stephen Huff and his wife, Kenna, and their children, Mason, Gregory and Matthew, Lebanon, Kentucky; and Ryan Huff and his wife, Jessica, and their son Noah, Georgetown, Kentucky; and one brother, Ova Huff.

One son, Timothy A. Huff, preceded in death on January 28, 1995.  Also preceding in death are son, Reyburn W. Huff, one son-in-law, Jim Ridley, and one sister, Thelma Warfield.

The Rev. Juan Rodriguez will officiate at the services.  Burial, will full military rites, will be in Ever Rest Memorial Park, Logansport.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral chapel.
