Wayne Heishman

Wayne Heishman, 71 of Logansport passed away peacefully at 6:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at his residence.

Born on November 7, 1946 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Edgar and Anna (Leazenby) Heishman.

He was a Logansport High School graduate.

Wayne was a U.S. Army veteran where he served in the Vietnam War.

On December 15, 2006 he married Connie Brown, she survives.

He retired from Logansport Municipal Utilities on March 17, 2010 after 42 years as a proud Lineman.  Wayne was a member of the American Legion, VFW and Team Hix Outdoor Club.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, drinking beer, hanging out in his garage and most of all spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Connie Heishman of Logansport, son’s, Casey Heishman (Hillary) of Logansport and Mark Heishman (Julie) of Indianapolis, daughter, Melissa Hamilton of Indianapolis, step daughter, Jennifer Pack (Andrew) of Monticello and grandchildren, Emily Pack, Isaac and Eli Nicoll and Caden Heishman.

He was also preceded in death by brother, Danny Heishman.

Per Wayne’s wishes there will be no visitation or service and his cremated remains will be scattered at his favorite fishing holes.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cass County Humane Society and/or the Joe Allen Team Hix Scholarship Fund in c/o the Cass County Community Foundation.
