Wayne Alan Crist, 78 of Winamac passed away peacefully at 5:10 a.m., Friday, July 3, 2026 at home surrounded by family.

Born on December 10, 1947 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Marion and Bertha (Parmeter) Crist.

He graduated from Star City High School in 1965. He was also a U.S. Army Vietnam Vet serving in the 196th Light Infantry Brigade and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts.

On November 29, 1968 he married his High School sweetheart, and love of his life, Phyllis J. Harper, she survives.

After returning from Vietnam he worked at RCA in Monticello until its closing. He then worked at Braun Corp. in Winamac until his retirement in 2010.

He enjoyed bowling, playing basketball and softball in his younger years. In more recent years, playing cards, dice, watching basketball and spending time with family and friends is what he enjoyed most.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Crist. Daughters- Trina Fulmer, Tasha (Parish) Foerg, Tiffany (Steve) Davis and Tennille (Ralph) Calabrese. Grandchildren- Brittany (Lucas) Miller, Gavin (Destiny) Fulmer, Lexi (Jose Samaniego) Foerg, Kennedy Crist, Tianna Foerg, Addisyn Davis, Cooper Fulmer, Ava Calabrese and Sofie Calabrese. Great Grandchildren- Haylee Miller, Madison Miller, Chloe Miller, Harper Beach, Mila Samaniego, Tate Fulmer and Vivianna Samaniego. Sister, Linda Stigen.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Litke and son-in-law, Steven Fulmer.

Private Services will be held at Winamac Cemetery, McKinley Addition.
