Shirley J. Hirt, 80, Kokomo formerly of Royal Center died at 1:05 p.m., Friday, January 23, 2009 at North Woods Village Nursing Home, Kokomo.A�A�
Born July 16, 1928 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Milfred W. and Mildred E.(Patterson) House. She was married to David C. Hirt,Jr. from 1948-1969.A�A�
Shirley was a 1946 graduate of Royal Center High School. After high school, she attended Stevens College for one year and Purdue University for one and half year. Shirley was a homemaker and also formerly did clerical work.A�A�
Survivors include 2 sons, Larry Hirt, of Marion and Terry Hirt of Kokomo, 1 daughter, Karen Keiser of Marion, Ohio, 1 sister, Marilyn Elliott, West Bend, WI., 5 grandchildren, Scott, Matt and Melissa Keiser, Marion, Ohio, Harmony Boatwright, of Louisiana and Michael Glasmacher, Santa Barbara, CA. Also,survived by a first cousin, Richard Patterson of Pittsboro, 3 nephews and 1 niece.A�A�
She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Lynda Hart in California at age 48 and a grandson, David JayA� Keiser.A�A�
Graveside Services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Monday, January 26, 2009 at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Logansport. Pastor Kevin Drane will officiate.A�A�
