Ronald C. Rees

Ronald C. Rees, 81, of Logansport passed away at 4:25 a.m., Monday, June 12, 2017 at Logansport Memorial Hospital.

Born on May 4, 1936 in Deal, England, he was the son of the late Edward C. and Sarah (Thomas) Chapman and his adopted parents, Morgan and Gwenllian (Davies) Rees.

Ronald served in the Medical Corps for the British Army prior to moving to the United States.

On August 6, 1996 he married Kay “Kasie” Cohagan.

Ronald had formerly worked for the Chicago Tribune for 15 years and then retired in 1993 as a Prudential Life Insurance Agent.

He was a member of River of Life Christian Church.  Ronald was also a former member of Gideon’s International and the National Association of Securities Division.

Ronald loved playing the piano and most of all spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Kay of Logansport, daughter, Susan Heck (Scott) of Illinois, son, Michael Rees (Peggy) of Warsaw, step daughter, Kayanne Murray of Rochester, step son, Tom Clem (Elisa) of Logansport, brother, Maurice Chapman (Barbara) of New Zealand, sister, Mary Crawford (David) of Wales, grandchildren, Roxanne, Jacob, Jordyn, Jarod, Nicci, and Madyson and great grandchildren, Adam, Connor, Chloe, Machia, McKenna, Hagan and Blaine.

He was also preceded in death by brother, Edwin and sisters, Gwen and May.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:00 PM, Friday, June 30, 2017 at the River of Life Christian Church in Logansport. A gathering of family and friends with refreshments will follow the Celebration service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the River of Life Christian Church and/or the American Heart Association.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel.
