Ronald "Scott" Hamman, a devoted husband, loving father, and cherished friend to many, passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 65 in Melbourne, FL . Born on November 1, 1958, in Rochester, IN to Ron and Carole Hamman, Ronald touched the lives of many with his jovial spirit and kindness.
Known affectionately as Scott or Scotty to his family and friends, his genuine nature and infectious laughter left a memorable mark on those fortunate enough to know him. He was a man of integrity, strength, and love.
Scott’s passion for exploring the world led him to serve in the Air Force for 24 years, a career with travels and experiences he cherished dearly while forging lifelong friendships. Following his honorable service, Scott continued to excel professionally, working as a military contractor for esteemed companies such as Northrup Grumman, Accenture and CACI, where his dedication and expertise shone brightly.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Scott found joy in simple pleasures. Whether he was teeing off on the golf course, casting a fishing line, or embarking on new adventures around the globe, he embraced each moment with enthusiasm and zest. He especially cherished quality time spent with his family, creating precious memories that will be treasured for generations to come.
Scott’s courageous battle over the past two years exemplified his strength and resilience. Despite facing adversity, he remained steadfast and passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones who will forever hold him in their hearts.
Scott leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by his beloved wife, Elena Hamman; father, Ron Hamman; former wife Prissana Hamman and their three daughters: Melissa Jones and husband Patrick, Amanda Stricklin and husband Johnathan and Casandra Hamman and husband Nick; six grandchildren: Christian, Jada, Kaiden, Sutton, Julien and Elias; and seven nieces and nephews. Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Carole, sister Terri Lynch, and brother Michael Hamman.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Scott's honor at Rans Funeral Homes and Crematory, Metzger Chapel, 123 E. Main St., Kewanna, Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
Military rites will follow at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 10, 2024 at the Kewanna V.F.W., James F. Talbott Post #1121.
