Robert "Bob" Carlson

Robert “Bob” Carlson, 78, of Logansport went to be in the arms of Jesus at 3:11 a.m., Sunday, November 3, 2019 at I.U. Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

Born on October 19, 1941 in Peru, he was the son of the late Carl and Ruth (Behnke) Carlson.

He was a graduate of St. Charles High School in St. Charles, Illinois and Northern Illinois University.

On January 1, 1967 he married Grace A. Jackson who survives

Bob worked as the Chief Finance Officer for multiple corporations for over 40 years

He was actively involved at Shiloh Christian Church, with his most recent position serving as an Elder. He was also an active member of the Logansport chapter of the Gideons Society, serving as treasurer for several years.

He served in the United States Army, serving as a Military Police, stationed in Germany for two years

Along with his wife, Bob is survived by four sons, Craig (wife Kerri) from Channahon, IL, Bryan from Greenwood, IN, Cary (wife Elise) from Trafalgar, IN, and Aaron (wife Christy) from Logansport.

Bob loved to visit and spend time with his grandchildren, having 13 total. Jerry (Beaupre), Tyler, Lily, Haley, Robbie, Danny, Joy, Grace, Breanna, Gavin, Ella, Caiden, and Garrett.  Bob is also survived by his nephew, Steve Nice, niece, Diann Sedam and brother in law, Dan Nice.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joan Nice.

Along with his love for the Lord, he also enjoyed gardening, fishing with the family, and studying God’s word. Bob was a sports enthusiast, and loved to cheer for his favorite teams, Cubs, Bears, Colts, and Pacers.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m., Thursday, November 7, 2019 at Shiloh Christian Church with Pastor Mark Marshall officiating.

Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at the church and also one hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Bob will be laid to rest at Shiloh Cemetery.
