Richard L. “Dick” Byers, 90 of Logansport passed away at 12:46 p.m., Saturday, August 8, 2026 at Chase Center.

Born on February 20, 1936 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Fred and LaVera (Stroble) Byers.

Dick retired from Rockwell International. He was also a former Pastor at Stonebluff Church of Christ and was a farmer.

He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing spending time with family and friends.

Survivors include his wife Judith Byers of Logansport, son; Rick Byers (Tina) of Royal Center, daughters; Diana Zbikowski (Robert) of Portage and Donna Schueller (Ken) of Missouri and sister, Barbara Nelson of Oregon. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Byers, brothers; William Maddox, Ralph Byers and Daniel Byers and sisters; Freida Maddox, Thelma Maddox and Carolyn Tomlinson.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, Logansport.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service.

Burial with military rites will be performed at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
