Raymond T. Schultz, 69 of Medaryville went to his heavenly home at 11:23 a.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend.
Born on December 21, 1956 in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Edward and Ruth (Earle) Schultz.
Raymond was a West Central High School graduate.
On April 6, 1991 he married Joan L. Peters, she survives.
In his lifetime he was a farmer and worked for Busch Farm Service for over 20 years, he was a laborer for the Department of Natural Resources, a heavy equipment operator, and made prefabricated boat ramps for over 31 years.
Raymond was a member of Pleasant Hill Lake Bruce Community Church.
He was a Donor Hero by organ donation and research.
He was an avid outdoor person who enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, mushrooming, motorcycling, working as a mechanic, fabrication of different designs and mentoring kids in different areas of their lives.
Survivors include his wife, Joan Schultz, brothers, Jerry Schultz (Dolly) and Mike Schultz (Donna), sister, Becky Stiller (Bob), sisters-in-law, Charlene Sckakel (Dave), Connie Reid (Don), and Linda Ruhl (Dan). He is also survived by a slew of nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by brother, Kenneth, niece, April and in-laws, Willard and Helen Peters and great nephew, Will.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, February 12, 2026 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Winamac Chapel with Pastor Steve Miller officiating.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Thursday.
Memorial contributions can be made to your local National Wild Turkey Federation N.W.T.F. Jake account supporting the youth. There has been an account set up at First National Bank in Winamac in care of Joan Schultz for youth activities with the Department of Resources.
