Michelle "Mickie" Cline

May 12, 1954 — May 29, 2025

Logansport

Michelle "Mickie" Lee Cline, born on May 12, 1954, in Logansport, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was 71 years old.

Mickie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William "Bill" R. Cline; her daughter, Andrea Adair; and her parents, Bernard and LaVerne Wolf.

She is survived by her children: Brooke (Ron) Mirenda of Seminole, Florida; Anthony (Mollie) Newman of Lafayette, Indiana; Tyler (Lydia) Cline of Logansport, Indiana and Michelle (Michael) Marley of Russiaville, Indiana; grandchildren: Kirra, Sam, Mackenzie, Beau, Grant, Madelyn, Hudson, Hazel, Cooper, Marley, William, Bryce, Shane, Jaxon, Jace, Annabelle and Beau (yes, two Beau’s); sister: Pat (Dave *deceased) Loner; brothers: Mike (Doris) Wolf, Steve (Amber) Wolf, and Scott (Nyla) Wolf; most loyal friend of more than 65 years, Jan (Lee) Loy.

Mickie was first married to Bob Newman from the early 1970s until the late 1980s. In 1989, she married the love of her life, Bill, and shared twelve joyful years of marriage with him until his passing in 2001.

In her early years, Mickie became a certified EMT and worked as an administrative assistant. After starting a family, she dedicated herself to being a full-time homemaker, raising her five children with love, humor, and unwavering support.

She loved spending time with her family at Bruce Lake and cherished being outdoors—whether it was relaxing by the pool, casting a line while fishing, or even enjoying the simple satisfaction of yard work. Known for her boundless energy and competitive spirit, Mickie loved playing racquetball, volleyball, and softball. Her passion for sports was passed down to her children, all of whom were raised with an active lifestyle and a love for athletic competition. Her strength and dedication to her children were evident in countless ways, moments they’ve come to deeply appreciate. Whether it was cheering loudly from the sidelines or even climbing a fence to support them (yes, that really happened!), Mickie was always their fiercest advocate.

Though her life was cut short, Mickie lived it fully—with joy, laughter, and deep devotion to her family. This was apparent in her many hours of phone conversations with her Auntie Ellen and cousin, Candi, a couple of her most treasured family members. She had a gift for humor and was known for her quick comebacks and unforgettable one-liners, making everyone around her smile even in her final days.

She donated a large portion of her wealth to the Liggett Company, Molson Coors, the Catholic Church and the VFW.

Mickie was a woman of deep faith, devoted to her Catholic roots while also embracing non-denominational worship. She loved her Lord and Savior and often spoke of how blessed she was, even in the face of life’s challenges. She will be deeply missed by everyone who loved her and to know was to love her.

In lieu of flowers, please feel free to donate to the VFW in her honor at www.vfw.org or mail a check to VFW, 1023 Eerie Avenue, Logansport, IN 46947.
