Mary J. (Justice) Hess

Mary J. Hess, 66, of Logansport passed away at 2:20 a.m., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family.

Born on December 1, 1952 in Logansport, she was the daughter of the late Morgan and Nellie (Rife) Justice.

She was a Lewis Cass High School graduate.

On September 21, 1973 she married Keith W. Hess.  He preceded her in death on August 25, 1998.

Mary was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion and VFW Lades Auxiliary’s.  She enjoyed playing bingo and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughters, Dorie Yocum (John) of Kokomo and Angel Mercier (Dave) of Walton, sisters, Birdie Sharp of Illinois and Wannetta Ross (Richard) of Logansport, brother, Robert Justice (Carolee) of Logansport and grandchildren, Nathaniel Zimmerman, Megan Dishon, Kayla Yocum, Keegan Yocum, Katie Yocum, Addison Yocum, Carleigh Mercier and Kaelynn Mercier.

She was also preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Jim and Bill Justice.

Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m., , Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center with Chaplain Larry Phillips officiating.
