John F. Donato

John F. Donato, 92, of Logansport passed away peacefully at 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 23, 2021 at Chase Center.

Born on April 9, 1929 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Joseph John and Pearl Josephine (LoCoco) Donato.

John was a U.S. Army veteran and served in WWII and the Korean Conflict.

He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Eagles, American Legion, and the William Paca Lodge.  John was an avid golfer and also enjoyed spending time with family.

He retired from National Friction.

Survivors include his children, Angie Hayden (Randy) of Logansport, Gina Adams (Nick) of Logansport, Joanne Gipson (Shawn) of Lafayette, Janet Bongayan of Lafayette and Margie Dishon (Brad) of Frankton and grandchildren, Alix, Randy, Darren, Devon, Ryan (Lauren), Erica, Travis, Justin, Adam (Kayla), Ashley, BreeAnna (Wil), Donna, John (Leanna), and Hope.  He is also survived by 22 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Donato who preceded him in death in 2012.

Services will be at 5:00 p.m., Monday, August 30, 2021 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Dykeman Golf Course Clubhouse Fund c/o Logansport Parks and Recreation Foundation.
