Ja'Markiss Cheeks, was born in Chicago, IL on March 22, 2021 weighing 8 pounds 7 oz. His mother prayed for him after three girls back to back!

He was born to the proud parents of Jasmine Cheeks and Irecas Duncans. They loved him deeply. He was the youngest of all of his siblings on both the mother and father side. Ja'Markiss was loved by people everywhere he came and went. He will be truly missed!

Ja'Markiss leaves to cherish his love and memories: his mother, Jasmine Cheeks; his father, Irecas Duncans, six loving sisters, Ja'layah Cheeks,Ja'Breia Daughtery, Ja'Mia Daughtery, Zariana Williams,Ariana Duncans, and Iree Duncans; two brothers, Ja'Sean Carpenter and Irecas Duncans Jr.: and loving grandparents who cherished him deeply; Carla Cheeks, Robert Otis, Sr., and Margo Parm. Bonus parents, Rita Daughtery, Kastonya Williams,Montana Wilkins, and Antonio Daughtery. Bonus siblings: Frantrell Daughtery, Selena Daughtery, Zipporah Daughtery, Yamijastiee Daughtery, Amir Daughtery and Adonis Martenia. Uncles who loved him: Robert Otis Jr., DeMarcus Cheeks, Derrick Williams and Dale Broughton. Aunts who will miss him dearly: Jessica Otis, Maxine Daughtery, Gabrielle Daughtery and Tiffany Daughtery. Cousins who will miss him: Angel Johnson, Ka'Miyah Jones, Robert Otis III, Jaliyah Otis, Honesty Otis, Zamora Otis and Aw'Nestiee Daughtery.

Very close family members: Akyrion Wilson, Zion Prince, Zyria Gause, Azhani Williams, Adrian Beasley, Sharon Yancey, Colette Mills, Alexis Mills, Angeliana Mills, Heaven Mills, Jermaine Bailey, Jayla Jackson and Tyshawn Spencer, along with a host of friends and extended family members.
