Helen F. (Hite) Calhoun

Helen "Frances" “Mommom” Calhoun, 92, of Leiters Ford passed away peacefully at 11:05 a.m., Friday, October 19, 2018 at her residence.

Born on September 1, 1926 in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen J. (Thomas) Hite. On January 24, 1944, she married Russell W. Calhoun. He preceded in death on May 30, 2000.

She formerly worked at Hart-Schaffner  & Marx in Rochester, retiring after 40 years. Helen enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Janet Calhoun of Leiters Ford and Dennis W. Calhoun (Bonnie)of Monterey,  brother, Victor Hite of Ft. Wayne and sister, JoAnne Walters of Warsaw. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, 25 great great grandchildren and 2 great great great grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by son, Donald Calhoun, daughter, Phyllis Sutton grandson, Michael Calhoun, great granddaughter, Katelynne Parks,  and sisters, Betty Frink, Georgia Nickles and June Hite.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, October 22, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home & Crematory, Kewanna Chapel.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.

Burial will be at Leiters Ford IOOF Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fulton County Historical Society.
