Harry J. Richter, Jr.

Harry J. Richter, Jr., 84, of Kokomo passed away on October 9, 2025 at Ascension St. Vincent of Kokomo. He was born on August 8, 1941 to the late Harry J. Richter, Sr. and Dorothy (Strahlem) Richter in Logansport.

He graduated from Logansport High School with the class of 1959. He married Peggy Barlow on May 23, 1985. Harry was an inspector for Chrysler for 37 years before retiring in 2001.

He is survived by daughter Marcia Smith; son Brian (Vicki) Barlow; Tim Adams son-in-law; brother Bill (Ellen) Richter; brother Earl (Kathy) Richter; grandchildren: Chad (Jenni) Barlow; Jeremy (Amber) Barlow; Adam (Alyx) Smith; Brittany (Keith) Suter; Derek (Katie) Smith; Grace Adams; Abigail Adams; Turner Adams. Great grandchildren: Jordan Barlow; Rachael (Lacie) Barlow; Mackenzie (Brookyn) Barlow; Connor (Amanda) Barlow; Victoria Barlow; Cali Barlow; Hayley Suter; Callen Smith; Aubrey Suter; Caden Smith. Great-great grandchildren: Vera Lambert; Grayson Hughes. Several nieces and nephews. Several grand-dogs and grand-cats.

Preceded in death by his parents Harry J. Richter, Sr and Dorothy (Strahlem) Richter; sister Karen Kesler; daughter Susie Adams; son in law Jerry Smith; great grandson Carson Smith.

Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home in Kokomo on October 20, 2025 with the funeral service starting at 2:00 p.m.
