Harry Day Gibbs, Jr., 74 of Logansport passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at home.

Born on September 5, 1951 in Logansport, he was the son of the late Harry Day Gibbs, Sr. and Mayme (Annette) Gallaway Gibbs.

He was a 1972 Logansport High School graduate.  On April 14, 1973 he married Joyce Lind, she survives.

Harry retired from Matthew-Warren in Logansport. He enjoyed being outside tinkering with just about anything and everything he could get his hands on. He could often be found out in the garage tearing things apart, just to recreate it into something else more repurposeful. At Christmas he was known for lighting up the neighborhood with his bright and colorful Christmas lights and decorations. In the spring it was his yard full of flowers or his big beautiful garden full of vegetables. He always made sure to help out his fellow community and could often be seen riding his John Deere tractor, in the winter he would plow their drivers ways or make sure the kids from the nearby school had a clean sidewalk path to walk on and in the summer it was mowing grass or hauling things in its loader bucket.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Gibbs of Logansport, daughter, Jennifer Smith (Brett) of Logansport, grandchildren, Kalie Benefiel and Megan Meek (Joshua), great grandchildren, Ethann Osborn, Remington Walker, Kiara Walker, Sora Benefiel and Kahlan Meek and sister, Joyce Atkinson.

He was also preceded in death by son, Robert Gibbs, brothers, Carl and David Gibbs and sister, Janice Brugnoli.
