Services for George R. Kelley, 86, of Idaville will be at Harrison-Metzger Funeral Homes, Royal Center Chapel Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 10:30 a.m.

Mr. Kelley passed away at 12:32 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2007 at his residence. Born on October 15, 1920 in White County, Indiana, he was the son of the late Samuel and Grace (Moore) Kelley. On May 27, 1945 he married Opal M. Martin, she survives.

Mr. Kelley retired from RCA, Monticello in 1983. He also had formerly worked at Pine View Golf Course, Monticello for 15 years, and he enjoyed woodworking, gardening and horses, he was an Army Medic during WWII serving in the Aleutian Islands and a member of White Oak United Methodist Church, Headlee.

Surviving are his wife, Opal M. Kelley of Idaville, 2 Daughters, Susan K. Welker (Richard) of Idaville, and Judy A. Roudebush (Lon) of Royal Center, 1 Brother, Glen Kelley of Monticello, 7 Grandchildren, Kelly Welker of Ann Arbor, Michigan, Holly Welker of Lansing, Michigan, Jeff Welker (Amy) of Royal Center, Mindy Schlotman (Jason) of Lafayette, Tabitha Roudebush (fiance Ryan) of Macy, Brock Roudebush serving in the US Army Stationed in Iraq and Brant Roudebush of Royal Center, 1 Great Granddaughter Haleigh Welker.

He was preceded in death by 1 Infant Son, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Pastor James Clark will officate at the services. Burial with Military Rites will be at Pro Cemetery, Headlee, Indiana.

Friends may call 4 -8 p.m., Monday, September 24, 2007 at the at the Harrison-Metzger Funeral Homes, Royal Center, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the White Oak United Methodist Church.
