Eunice M. Carter

Services for Eunice M. (Rex) Hunt Carter, 77 of Logansport, will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans Funeral Home, 304 South Chicago St., Royal Center.

She died Thursday, April 24, 2008 in Life Care Center, Rochester.

Born May 1, 1930 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Virgil and Alice (Field) Rex. On January 4, 1947 she married Arthur Hunt and he preceded her in death in June 11, 1979. On May 21, 1983 she married Jerry L. Carter, he survives.

A homemaker after her retirement from H & W Gossard, Logansport, she enjoyed crocheting, jigsaw and crossword puzzles and family reunions. Eunice was a member of Caley United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Carter, Logansport; daughter, Marsha K. Fitz (Garry), Pulaski; 2 sons, Dennis A. Hunt, Walton, and Larry D. Hunt and his fiance, Pamela L. Davis, Logansport; brother, Robert Rex (Lil), Napa, California; sister-in-law, Kay Rex, Oregon; 4 grandchildren, Lucinda Fitz, Tennessee, Bryan Fitz (Sage) Hawaii, Lisa Borst (Mark), Schererville, Angela Wilson (James), Georgia; 5 great grandchildren, Serena Anderson, Brogan & Xandru Borst, Schererville, Justyn Fitz, Texas, Augustus Fitz, Tennessee. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by 1 son, Bruce E. Hunt; 7 brothers, Glenn, Arnold, Kenneth, Albert, Edward, Richard, and Asa Rex; 3 sisters, Ruby Perry, Faye Ranus and Bernice Kociara; and a great grandson, Ramse Wilson.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2008 at Harrison-Metzger & Rans, Royal Center Chapel.

Pastors Ernie Rex and Jim Clark will officiate at the services.

Burial will be in Star City West Cemetery, Star City.
