Eugene C. Tooke, Jr., 82 of Logansport passed away at 10:01 a.m., Sunday, March 29, 2026, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Indianapolis. Born on April 20, 1943, in North Tonawanda, New York, he was the son of the late Eugene C. Tooke, Sr. and Dorothy A. Biehl. Gene was a U.S. Army veteran. He formerly worked for Sierra Research in New York and was also a retired Sales Associate at Wal-Mart.

On December 20, 2003, he married Paula Gaumer at River of Life Church in Logansport. Survivors include his wife, Paula Tooke of Logansport, his siblings, Richard Tooke, Gerald Tooke (Sally Barr) and Gloria Latta (Bill) all of New York, brother-in-law, Lee Gaumer (Marsha) of Logansport, nieces and nephews, Wendy Peroza (Steven), William Latta, William Tooke (Leeann), Chris Gaumer, Matt Gaumer (Julie), Lauren McClure (Rod) and Allison Gaumer and great nieces and nephews, Madelyn and Jackson Latta, Elizabeth Gaumer and Caleb and Jeremiah Miller. Services are private. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery.
