David B. Swartz, 66 of Walton passed away at 4:55 p.m., Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born on September 12, 1959, in Logansport, he was the son of the late Clare and Nadine (Stilwell) Swartz.  He was a 1978 Lewis Cass High School graduate.  On July 14, 1984, he married Shaunita Pugh, she survives.

David retired from Zimmer Bio in Warsaw as a Tool and Die maker.  He enjoyed music, being outdoors, mushroom hunting and “tinkering”. David could fix anything.

Survivors include his wife, Shaunita, daughters; Carrie Ennis (Ben), Shae Smith (Adam) and Mariah Polen (Nick); sister, Nancy Leslie; grandchildren, Gabrielae Fred, Aleck Fred, Summer Johnson, Stormi Smith and Miles Polen, mother-in-law, Delores Pugh, nephew, Trevor Lesley (Mandy) and niece, Shanan Swartz (Natasha).

He was also preceded in death by his parents, Clare and Nadine (Stilwell) Swartz, brother, Greg Swartz, one great grandchild, Atlas Fred and father-in-law, Robert Pugh.

A private service will be held at a later date.
