Connie Lynn Brucker, 73, was born on October 18, 1952, to John and Shirley Ringen in Logansport, Indiana, and went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 26, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.

Connie grew up on the family farm, where she spent her days riding her ornery pony, caring for the chickens, and enjoying countless shenanigans with her siblings, Dennis, Nancy, and Danny. She graduated from Culver Community High School in 1970 and began working as the head librarian at Monterey Public Library.

On April 28, 1973, Connie married the love of her life, Phillip E. Brucker, celebrating 53 years of marriage with three daughters, Dawn (Michael) Gustafson, Crystal (Brian) Kocher, and Ashley Brucker.

Connie found joy in trail riding, camping, and taking special trips with her daughters, and baking her famous blueberry pies.

Later in life, her greatest delight was spending time with her seven grandchildren, Hailey, Jacob, Joshua, Vance, Gage, Brooks, and Logan, sharing a close bond with each of them. She always greeted them with a big bear hug, a beautiful smile, and her signature laugh. She attended as many of their sports, events, performances, and special days as she possibly could. Whether she was riding horses, kayaking on the river, hiking, camping, driving a tractor, or simply playing games with her children and grandchildren, Connie embraced every opportunity to make memories with her family, who were the center of her world and she deeply loved.

Connie attended the First United Methodist Church for most of her life and carried a deep faith in Jesus Christ. Throughout her life, and especially during her long illness, she drew strength and comfort from her faith, and reading her Bible nightly.

Connie will be deeply missed by her loving husband, daughters, grandchildren, brothers, sister, sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews, and all who knew and loved her. Her beautiful smile, infectious laugh, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

She was preceded in death by:

  • Mother, Shirley Ringen
  • Brother-in-law, Paul Brucker
  • Father-in-law, Phillip C. Brucker
  • Mother-in-law, Helen Brucker
