Charlotte C.
Blinn
October 24, 1935 – April 29, 2026
Charlotte Colleen (Haselby) Blinn, 90, of Winamac, IN passed away on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in her home. Charlotte was born on October 24, 1935 on her family’s farm in Van Buren Township, Pulaski County to the late Firman Griffith Haselby and Hazel Blanche (Hiatt) Haselby, the 11th of 12 children. She married Thomas Luther Blinn on March 20, 1960.
Charlotte lived in Pulaski County all her life. She was a proud Star City High School Star, class of 1953. A lifelong member of Star City United Methodist Church, she served in a variety of roles and was active in the United Methodist Women.
She farmed with Tom for 40 years and worked at Community Motors, Inc., Community State Bank, and the Farm Services Agency. In her retirement, she and Tom traveled much of the United States in their RV. She co-founded the Red Hat Society in Pulaski County, serving as the chapter’s Queen for several years. As a member of the Pulaski Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, she volunteered in the gift shop and served as secretary and treasurer. When she wasn’t giving her time to others, she was playing cards or bunco with friends, sewing, crocheting, walking her beloved dog, Sashi, at the park, or spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren who called her “Memaw.”
Charlotte is preceded in death by her husband, Tom, son, Michael E. Blinn, granddaughters Susanna, Corinne, and Emme Gibson, her parents, all her siblings, and many of her dear friends.
She is survived by her daughter Lore Blinn Gibson, favorite son-in-law Randy Gibson, and grandchildren Maia and James Gibson, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.
Charlotte’s family would like to thank the staff of Pulaski Memorial Hospital and Gentiva Hospice for their loving care over the last days of her life.
