Charlene (Sherman) Gosnell

Leota Charlene Gosnell, 73 of Logansport formerly of Royal Center passed away at 7:55 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2018 at Millers Merry Manor in Logansport.

Born on June 4, 1945 in Marion, she was the daughter of the late Steven W. and Arta A. (Trexler) Sherman.  On December 21, 1963, she married Ronnie B.C. Gosnell. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2010.

She was a Peru High School graduate.

Charlene was a homemaker. She also formerly worked at Anderson Merchandising as District Manager retiring after 15 years.

She was a member of Caley United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed sewing and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a wonderful grandmother beloved by her family and always knew how to bring a smile to their faces.

Survivors include her son Ronnie Gosnell of Royal Center, sister, Lavonne Darlene Polan of Marshall, Illinois, sisters in law, Linda Sherman of Lafayette, Josephine Kelch of Marion and Karen Becraft (Buddy) of Peru, brother in law, Roger Gosnell of Illinois and grandchildren, Shane Gosnell and his children, Brynn, Ryder and Kyler, all of Royal Center, Cody Gosnell and daughter, Serenity of Burnettsville and Brittany Frame and her husband, Jacob and their children, Elleigh, Natalie and Leon, all of Holland, Michigan and Chance Gosnell and his daughter, Kya of Burnettsville.

She was also preceded in death by her great grandson, Robert Gosnell (son of Cody), brother, Joe Sherman, sisters, Arlene Williams and Lois Rogers, brother in law, Jimmy Gosnell and sister in law, Pat Opp.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel with Pastor Adrienne Hinshaw officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the funeral home and also one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
