Charlene Davis

Charlene Davis, 91 of Royal Center passed away at 11:32 a.m., Monday, November 16, 2015 at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport.
Born February 21, 1924 in White County, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Susan (Irelan) Roller.
She was a 1942 Royal Center High School graduate.
On June 7, 1942, she married Isadore “Izzy” Davis. He preceded her in death on May 19, 2012, nineteen days prior to their 70 th anniversary.
Charlene was a retired desk clerk from the Royal Center Record newspaper.
She was a member of Royal Center United Methodist church and former member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a member and past president of VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Logansport and a past chief of Pythian Sisters in Royal Center. She was also a former member of the Boone Township Extention Homemakers. She and her husband Isadore were also recipients of the Pharos Tribune Good Neighbors Award in 1994.
Survivors include her nieces, Ruth Sterling of Royal Center, Jean DeWitt of Royal Center, and Mary Jane Connell (Norman) of Seymour, nephew, Richard Oswalt (Maxine) of Royal Center, great niece, Jewel Personett (Ken) of Logansport and great nephew, Ed Schroder (Kim) of Royal Center.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Lowell Roller and Basil Roller and sister, Goldie Roller Oswalt.
Services will be at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, November 19, 2015 at Harrison-Metzger-Rans Funeral Home, Royal Center Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery, Royal Center.
