Cecil R. Hood
August 23, 1907 — September 3, 2007
Cecil R. Hood, 79, of Kewanna, passed away September 3, 2007 at Center for Hospice, South Bend.
Born August 23, 1928 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late George C. & Sarah E. (Hahn) Hood. He was a 1946 graduate of Star City High School, and a veteran of the United States Army.
He was a motor home driver for many years and was also formerly employed by Kewanna Metal Specialties, Kewanna. Cecil was a member of the N.R.A.
Survivors include 2 sisters, Gertrude J. Spoor, Culver and Ruth J. DePoy (George), Plymouth; he is also survived by several neices and nephews.
He is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kenneth K. Hood, Jay L.Hood; 1 neice and 1 nephew.
Cecils wishes were for his body to be donated to the Indiana University Anatomical Education Program, after which his ashes will be scattered in the Atlantic ocean off Charlston, S.C.
