Carolyn “Kay” Sue Hardy, 82, of Logansport passed away at 4:18 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2026 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.
Born on June 17, 1943 in Winamac, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Jennie (Miller) Simpson.
She was a 1961 Royal Center High School graduate.
On June 23, 1963 she married Paul R. Hardy. He preceded her in death on February 19, 2022.
Kay was a homemaker and retired from the Pharos Tribune. She also spent many years babysitting.
She was a lifelong member of Royal Center United Methodist Church, formerly Grace United Methodist Church. She loved her church family and dedicated many hours in service. Kay and Paul enjoyed traveling and going on cruises. Over the years, Kay enjoyed many different crafts; ceramics, tole painting, cardmaking and scrapbooking. Kay had quite the sense of humor and loved pulling a good prank on Paul.
Survivors include her children, Paula Daily of Royal Center, Pam Stouder (Brian) of Logansport, Laura Scott (Branden) of Logansport and Kevin Hardy (Michele) of Walton. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, Neil (Lisa), Evan (Susan), Caleb (Autumn) and Claire Daily, Megan (Jacob), Kassi (Josh) and Erick Hardy, Grant, Shelby and Chloe Stouder, Anastasia (Hannah) Wintz and Christian Scott and 9 great-grandchildren, Audree, Luke, Mylo, Savannah, Eli, Kenedy, Maison, Sophie and Henry. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Christina Boyer, Logansport, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, John and Carol Hardy, Walton and sister-in-law, Betty Simpson, Kokomo.
She was also preceded in death by brother, William Simpson, sisters, Donna Carlson, Betty Herrick and Helen Keller, son-in-law, Jim Daily, and granddaughter, Marisa Kay Daily.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 13, 2026 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Harrison Chapel, 304 S. Chicago St., Royal Center with also visitation one hour prior to the service.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 12, 2026 at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Kistler Cemetery in Royal Center.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Royal Center United Methodist Church.
