Services for Betty J. Lavery, 79, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in All Saints Catholic Church.
She died at 1:11 a.m. Sunday, September 16, 2007 in Logansport Memorial Hospital.
Born June 4, 1928 in Chicago, she was the daughter of James A. Allan and Jean Longair Kenny.
A 1946 graduate of Logansport High School, she was also a 1950 graduate of Indiana University, majoring in business. She worked as a sales clerk at National Bank and Closson Lumber Company.
Betty was a member of Beta Sigma Phi (Chapter-Laureate PSI) and Civic Players, where she directed for many years.
Surviving are two nieces, Cynthia Ecklund and her husband, Edward, and Teresa Williamson and her husband, John, all of Logansport; one nephew, James Allan III, Logansport; one sister-in-law, Anita Allan, Logansport; one great niece, Camille Crane and one great nephew, Jackson Williamson.
Her parents and one brother, James Allan, preceded in death.
Father Jeff Martin will officiate at the services. Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Wednesday in Marocco Funeral Chapel, where a Scripture service will be held at 6 p.m. today.
