Betty E. Carr, 89 of Logansport passed away peacefully at 9:40 a.m., Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport.
Born on April 10, 1937 in Ora, she was the daughter of the late Jonas and Stella (Emel) Brown.
On November 13, 1954 she married Argyle “Dean” Carr. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2015.
Betty retired from the Logansport State Hospital where she was a nursing aid for 43 years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Logansport.
She enjoyed baking, camping, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and her beloved dog, Daisy
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Kelly of Pendleton, grandchildren, Joe Hayden (Lindsey) and DeAnna Hayden, great grandchildren, Ashton Coffman, Bryce, Kennedy and Lucas Hayden, and sisters, Gladys McNamee and Roberta Collis.
She was also preceded in death by brothers, Jonathan Brown, James Brown and Jr. Brown, sisters, Doris Vosburgh and Mary Brown and son-in-law, Duane Kelly.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at Rans Funeral Homes & Crematory, Marocco Chapel, 119 E. Market St., Logansport.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Dean.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Church of the Nazarene109 W. Clinton, St., Logansport, Indiana.
